There’s so much to do here! And, remember, relaxing and doing nothing at all is always an option during your ranch vacation.

In addition to our excellent horseback riding and fly fishing programs, Colorado Trails Ranch offers:

• exciting river rafting on the Animas River
• guided hikes through our mountain forests
• swimming in the heated pool
• a Ruckus Room for kids (see facilities for details)
• a horseshoe pit
• volleyball and basketball
• power-tubing at Vallecito Lake for the older kids (adults can go, too)
• archery
• trap shooting near the ranch for adults and teens (when accompanied by an adult); ammunition is available in the Trading Post
• rifle shooting; ammunition for .22 rifles is available in the Trading Post
• a soothing hot tub

Of course, there are a whole bunch of fun evening activities at our first-class dude ranch. You choose!

There are some special activities in the Durango area you can also enjoy. All of these activities are optional and require an additional fee:

• guided trip to Mesa Verde National Park
• half-day Longhorn cattle drives for our adventuresome guests
• Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge train ride
  • If you’re interested in adding the train to your vacation, we recommend you do the train ride before or after your stay with us, as you won’t want to miss a day of ranch activities. Train reservations need to be made in advance (www.durangotrain.com).

We’re also happy to offer a shopping trip for those who would like to visit Durango and its charming shops.
