Summer Spitsbergen, born on a Montana ranch and raised in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, has been an adventurer and artist since childhood, deeply inspired by the American Southwest.
Her early love for art was shaped by the vibrant landscapes around her, and she soon discovered a calling to use her creativity to support orphans around the world. Working primarily in oils and mixed media, her paintings reflect themes of beauty, hope, and purpose—bridging the natural world with her global mission. After moving to San Diego in 2012, coastal scenes brought fresh inspiration, and it was there she met her husband, Daniel.
Now living on a working cattle ranch in Oregon with their two sons and a daughter, Summer continues to paint while developing sustainable agriculture models for orphanages, using her art and life to create lasting change.
